HUBLOT CLASSIC FUSON TOURBILLON VITRAIL

The inspiration behind this watch was simple: a stained glass window -- essentially it's a skeleton. An outline filled with coloured glass. Take Art Deco stained glass windows, for example. They play on their geometric forms and myriad colours. It is exactly the same creative concept here: The skeleton watch movement serves as the framework for an artistic creation, a colourful stained-glass window, miniaturised in a watch.

It features a HUB6017 movement made by the Manufacture, a skeleton tourbillon comprising 251 components, a 5-day power reserve and a contemporary graphic design; there are no fewer than 15 small spaces -- 15 tiny openings housing a sliver of glass secured with O-rings which grip the glass, ensuring that it does not break through heat expansion. Technically, this is a very high-tech glass which is used in physics to filter the different frequencies or colours of light.
